Horton Project Spotlight

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi

The HDR-designed Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, one of the Middle East’s most advanced, high-tech and luxurious hospitals, opened its doors nine years ago to critical acclaim from architects worldwide. We are proud of the fact that 320 of those specialty, high-performance doors were provided by Horton, the leader in healthcare access solutions.

The 364-bed multi-specialty facility features one of the region’s premier ICU and CCU units, which made this project an ideal fit for Horton. Satisfying the world-class facility’s stringent standards for airborne infection control, smoke ratings, durability and aesthetics, the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi chose to have all ICU and CCU doors supplied by Horton.

Won-Door Project Spotlight

Sandy Hook Elementary

The tragedy suffered at Sandy Hook Elementary was one of the worst shooting incidents in US history. Twenty-eight were killed while many others were injured, and countless were traumatized. Working in conjunction with mental health professionals and other administrators, the building was re-designed with updates involving Won-Door for both fire and security needs.

Using Won-Door helped to minimize the visual impact of the added security and at the same time created a safe, open environment that is conducive to learning, while providing the much-needed fire and security protection. This video shows how this school and many others have worked in conjunction with Won-Door to solve complex fire and security needs.
